Ginnie McKnight is a professional, self taught Artist originally from Chicago, IL and raised in the surrounding area. Though always talented in drawing and art, she studied Political Science in College. In July of 2007 she left her home in Chicago, and moved to Baltimore, MD. It was there she discovered and began her journey as a Professional Visual Artist. In July 2011 she had her first exhibit at the African American Heritage Festival in Baltimore, MD. In June of 2012 her Art work was on display in the middle of Times Square, New York for the Art Takes Times Square Exhibit 2012. Ginnie McKnight has grown to presenting and publishing her artwork in front of national audiences on Billboard display in New York City, Baltimore, and now on digital canvas. Ginnie continues to displayed her talents with live audiences by live painting and artists talks.
Mixing innate creativity, skill, and opportunity, Ginnie McKnight is sharing her Art with the world and blossoming in the same breath. Her life is truly a story of perseverance and strength, and she shares this message in her Artistry.
